Senator Preston W. Smith (R-Rome) will be conducting two Town Hall Meetings on Monday, September 22, 2003, in Floyd and Chattooga Counties.

The Town Hall Meeting for Floyd County will be held on Berry College at the Krannert Center, Room 217, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

The Town Hall Meeting for Chattooga and Walker County will be held at the Summerville Civic Center, Chamber of Commerce Room, from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

 “I would like to invite all of my constituents to the upcoming Town Hall Meetings to express their ideas, concerns and pose questions regarding state government and the legislative process,” Senator Smith stated. “Town Hall Meetings go back to the foundation of our country and allow citizens to have direct input from public officials. I believe it is an essential part of an open government that is responsive to the needs of the people.”
