I appreciate the opportunity to serve the citizens of Northwest Georgia's 52nd Senate District in Bartow, Floyd and Gordon counties. With your help and partnership, we have demonstrated a proven record of leadership over the last four years.

Authoring or co-sponsoring nearly 300 bills and resolutions, I have worked to tackle some of the most complicated issues in our state's history through common-sense legislation including child protection laws, ethics reform, homeland security, civil justice reform and education reform. We have successfully worked on local issues focusing on the improvement of jobs, education, healthcare, crime prevention and transportation while increasing pay for educators, funding important local projects, lowering taxes and balancing the state budget. We have fundamentally changed the way Atlanta works and returned power to the hardworking citizens of Georgia. We have proven results of what this leadership team can accomplish but there is much to be done! This year I am seeking re-election because I believe we can continue to lead and build on our success while working to improve education, recruit and retain new jobs, reform our tax system and increase affordable access to quality healthcare.
